To make this pie, you will need a baked pie crust and these ingredients:
- 1 quart of strawberries
- 1 c. sugar
- 3 T. cornstarch
- ½ of a lemon
Begin by chopping up half of the strawberries into small pieces. With the remaining strawberries, slice each one in half and place in the baked pie crust. Place the chopped up strawberries into a small saucepan and turn the heat on the medium-low. Cook this for several minutes and then add 1 c. of sugar and 3 T. of cornstarch. Mix this together and then take a lemon and chop it in half. Squeeze the lemon juice from one of the lemon halves into the mixture. Stir the mixture constantly until it has thickened. This will take approximately 10 minutes. Pour the thickened mixture over the strawberries in the pie crust and refrigerate for at least 4 hours. Serve this pie with fresh whipping cream and you will you absolutely love the way this tastes.
